Helping Haiti

How can you help?

Picture
The Lapeer Free Methodist Church is asking for your help to support their upcoming mission trip to Haiti. A team of 15 volunteers will be traveling to Haiti in April to assist with improvements to hospital medical staff housing in the town of Dessalines.

In addition to medical staff housing improvements, the team will also be delivering desperately needed water filters and medical supplies. The church is also purchasing food producing animals
for Haitian families so they can produce their own eggs and milk to become more self-sufficient.

We are asking for your help with this effort so we can help as many families as possible. We will put every dollar of your donation towards the purchase of these items. Your donation is tax deductible.

When you donate, you can specify where you would like your money to be used or we will put it in the general fund and use it toward any or all of the items. If you would like to specify, use one of the three choices below. You can donate the entire amount of the item or toward any item.

Water Filters - $50
Chickens - $10
Goats - $60
Supplies for housing improvements - any amount
Medical supplies - any amount

We also encourage donations of medical supplies such as:

-non-sterile gloves (mostly medium with some small and large)
-bed sheets/pillow cases, gently used or new
-strap-on headlights
-rubber clogs for nurses-doctors
-reading glasses
-toothbrushes and toothpaste
-soccer balls and basketballs

Please help us to help the people of Haiti in their time of intense need.
