VISA Trip to Haiti
The Lapeer Free Methodist Church will be sending a VISA (Volunteers in Service Abroad) team to Dessalines, Haiti from April 1, 2011 thru April 9, 2011.
The Purpose of the trip is to provide resources and help to the Dessalines area, specifically the Claire Heureuse Hospital. The team of 15 people will be working on projects to help repair the facilities as well as provide necessary items such as water filters, medical supplies and personal hygiene products.
The team is currently meeting twice a month in anticipation of the April departure.
